Žnjan is awake. The umbrellas are up, the bar is stocked and the music is on. After months of preparation, Central Beach Split is open for the 2026 season, and if last summer taught us anything, it is that this stretch of the Adriatic has a way of making every day feel like the last one of the holiday. Whether you are a Split local who has been counting down since September, or a first-time visitor who stumbled across us while planning your Dalmatian coast trip, welcome. This is your spot.

What's Waiting for You at Žnjan Beach

We haven't changed the formula, because the formula works. Central Beach Split is still the same open-air venue it has always been, with an indoor space and a large covered terrace that stays open to the sea on every side. But this season we have raised the bar in a few ways that we think you will notice from the first sip. The kitchen has been expanded. The cocktail list has been refreshed. And the line-up of live music and DJ nights, well, we will let that speak for itself when the beats hit on those warm June evenings.

Live Music and DJ Nights, Every Evening

From the moment the sun starts dipping behind the islands, Central Beach shifts gears. What starts as a relaxed afternoon by the sea turns into something you didn't know you needed: a saxophone opening the evening, a DJ reading the crowd, the terrace coming alive with the Adriatic a few metres away. We host live music and DJ events through the summer season, and the line-up changes night to night. Some evenings lean on live music like saxophone or violin, others hand the night to a DJ, and many mix both. You don't need a ticket for most nights, just show up. For headline events, we announce in advance through our social channels.

Bar & Bites, Mediterranean Food at Žnjan

The food at Central Beach follows the same principle as the location itself: keep it simple, make it honest, let the quality do the talking. Our kitchen draws on Mediterranean flavours and Dalmatian roots, with a menu that follows the season. On the menu this summer: brunch plates from 08:00, wood-fired pizza from 11:00, fresh pasta, salads and bites that work whether you are refuelling after a swim or settling in for a long lunch that quietly becomes dinner.

The Cocktail List

The bar team has been working on this one since February. The 2026 cocktail list is built around the Mediterranean: bitter citrus, local spirits, fresh herbs and a few things you won't find on any other menu in Split. Signature serves like the Royal Central and a Porn Star Martini sit alongside the classics, plus spritz jugs to share when the table is in the mood. Beer is cold. Wine is local and Istrian. Coffee is serious. If you need something we don't have, ask, and we will try our best.

The Beach, the Bar and a Very Good Afternoon

Žnjan beach is one of Split's newest and most carefully developed stretches of coastline. The water is clean, the promenade is wide, and the islands of Brač and Šolta sit right out front, the first islands you see off Split. Central Beach sits right at the heart of it. There is plenty to fill a day. Public sun loungers line the shore, and just offshore floats the largest inflatable water park in Croatia, a hit with kids and families. Right on the sand, opposite the café, we run an open-air beach bar serving coffee to go, cold cocktails and refreshments between swims. Arrive in the morning, settle in by the sea, and you genuinely don't have to move until the stars come out.

Come as You Are

Central Beach Split isn't a velvet-rope kind of place. It never has been and it never will be. We are a beach bar that takes food, music and cocktails seriously, but that doesn't mean we take ourselves too seriously. Smart-casual by day. Relaxed elegant in the evening. Shoes optional at the water's edge. Come with friends, with family, with a good book or with someone you want to impress. All of the above works fine here. We'll see you at Žnjan.
